There are a lot of people in Door County eating well this Christmas! This picture was taken at 9:00 am Christmas Eve day – Steve and the special orders for Standing Rib Roasts and Beef Tenderloin being picked up today.
He came to work at 2:00 am this morning! If you see him nodding off during church services, you’ll know why!
We had a Standing Rib Roast and Yorkshire Pudding last night – succulent!!!
Main Street Market’s Packer Uniforms
In honor of today’s first Packers home game (I know it is only preseason, but…) we found jerseys for some of our international students and encouraged everyone to wear Packer’s shirts instead of the usual MSM blue shirts to work.

Dean Pohlman and Chobani President
Main Street Market and the most recent example of our small, small world. My sister Julie sent me this picture today. Her son, Dean Pohlman is working in Washington DC this summer with the Turkish Embassy (or something very similar.) They recently had an American Turkish Summit and Dean met the president of Chobani.
Chobani is the best-selling brand of Greek yogurt which Main Street Market has been selling for years! Before it was everywhere else! I heartily recommend it if you have not tried it. I am addicted – 1/2 container of Vanilla Chobani and fresh blueberries, blackberries and raspberries is my breakfast of choice!
Julie knows I love Chobani, so sent this picture. It is interesting that the president of a Greek yogurt company is Turkish. And – check out the shoes! Fantastic!
Marilyn Anschutz
Today is Marilyn Anschutz’s birthday – and I will certainly NOT divulge the years! Happy Birthday to one of my favorite people! Our early morning customers love Marilyn – she greets them with a smile and a hearty “good morning” Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays!

Dave and Vonnie Callsen
Today is Dave and Vonnie Callsen’s wedding anniversary! 54 years ago, they snuck out of their respective homes in Madison, WI and eloped! How cool is that? I don’t think we (their children) knew about the details of their marriage until many years later; obviously you don’t need a big fancy wedding to cement a long-lasting marriage!
Congratulations – we love you both!
