End of summer dinner 2011

Mens Table

This is the mens table at dinner. This practice started many years ago when the women decided to have an end-of-season night out. The men felt left out, so decided to do the same thing. We’ve always been seated at opposite sides of the restaurant – it has worked out very nicely!

We do all get together for a group photo at the end of evening, plus lots of little group photos. It is a fun way to thank our staff for a summer of very hard work!

End of summer dinner 2011

After dinner - most of the crew!

Sometime near the end of summer, we close Main Street Market early and take everybody out to dinner. This year, we went on Labor Day evening. The store closed at 6:00 pm so it was easy for everybody to get out and to Trio on time!

We try to go before most of the summer people have to leave, but all the college kids were gone already. We always seat the men and women at separate tables, and last night, I told everyone the person seated to their right had to be from a different country than themselves! It gave us all the opportunity to talk to the international kids in a different setting than the Main Street Market!

As usual, the food and service at Trio was excellent! A bonus this year was server Christine Nesheim – the professional photographer who took pictures with the 8 cameras brought to dinner by the crew! Long after everyone goes home, pictures will remind us of the wonderful people we’ve worked with this summer of 2011.
